The Argonne is a forest which serves as a natural barrier between three departments : the Ardennes, the Marne and the Meuse, also separates two regions Champagne-Ardenne and Lorraine.
The land is mainly composed of "gaize", a siliceous rock containing clay, "gaize" is present in every strip of Ardenne land.
The Argonne was for long a natural barrier between France realm and the Empire, it used to stop invasions which were only possible through three narrow passes.

Today's Argonne is a welcoming land and a pleasant place to live in. Vouziers is the main town in th Ardenne in the Argonne.
It is located half way between Champagne's intense farming and vineyards and various lands on which steep hills, fruit trees, farmlands crisscrossed by hedges and trees and a wild flora stretch. 

We'd like you to discover the land overgrown with trees, a land that has been kept intact in spite of time.
